AI for AEC: From Concept to Construction Docs
Three-credit graduate seminar, sixteen weeks, twice weekly: a Monday lecture and demo, a Thursday industry guest. No textbook; a Claude seat and free readings instead. Every submission carries a verification log: tools, purpose, what was changed by hand, what was checked, and disclosure. Revit from first principles, then the model put to work: lighting and daylight analysis, early energy modeling in Insight and Forma, embodied carbon, and VR and AR walkthroughs since 2016. Students complete Autodesk's free Design Performance course inside the term; the first certificate was earned in 2025.
